What is hypnosis and hypnotherapy?
Have you ever been so engrossed in a book or film that you don't notice any distractions or noises going on around you?
During hypnosis your mind and body will be so relaxed that all you will hear is the therapist's voice and any distracting thoughts or sounds will be put into the background. You will not be asleep or be unaware what the therapist is saying to you. You will be fully focussed on the therapist's voice. In this trance state any positive words and suggestions made by the therapist will get through to your powerful subconscious mind. Your subconscious mind is responsible for your automatic behaviour and habits. Once accessed positive behavioural changes can be made, quickly.
Can I be made to do anything I do not want to do?
Absolutely not! You are in control all of the time. You cannot be made to do anything you do not want to do. All hypnosis is self hypnosis which means if you want to do it you will. The people you see doing silly things at a stage hypnotist show want to go on stage and do silly things.
Can I be hypnotised?
We all daydream and daydreaming is the waking form of hypnosis. We can all be hypnotised if we want to be. Different people reach different levels of trance. The more you experience hypnosis the more relaxed you will feel.
How long is each session & how many sessions will I need?
Each standard session usually lasts between 45 minutes to an hour. Stop smoking usually lasts over an hour.
The estimated number of sessions required is discussed and agreed upon following the initial consultation. The number of sessions required for each individual can vary depending on the severity of the problem.Some problems are successfully treated in one session, some more serious problems may require a few sessions. Stop smoking is one session. The Weight Control programme usually consists of 2 to 4 sessions (a general weight control single session is also available). Fast phobia cure is one or two sessions. Anxiety,Confidence & Insomnia are typically 2 to 4 sessions.
What is Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT)?
CBT can help you change how you think (Cognitive) and what you do (Behaviour)
It focusses on your here and now problems. An alternative or addition to finding out the causes of your problems from the past, it looks at ways of improving your state of mind now.
What is Neuro Linguistic Progamming (NLP)?
It is the study of human experiences, communication, thinking, language and behaviour.
NLP is about noticing conscious and subconcious behavioural patterns.
It's about duplicating excellence and modelling how we communicate to ourselves and others.

The clinic is located at Horsham Golf & Fitness. Head for the A24 towards Horsham Park & Ride. The entrance to the Golf course is opposite the entrance to the park & ride.You will be met by the therapist in the gym reception area. (see the Contacts section of this website for the full address)
What if I cannot make the appointment and need to postpone or cancel?
Cancellation Policy: The Absolute Hypnotherapy Clinic aims to ensure all clients have a maximum choice when booking appointments, therefore, all cancellations need to be made a minimum of 48 hours in advance of the appointment. Any cancellations made inside of this period without prior consent may still incur the charge.
